The Office of Alumni Relations and Traditions Commission (at Syracuse University) extend an invitation to all faculty, staff, administration, students, and student organizations to nominate a student whom they feel would be a worthy recipient of the 3rd Annual “Orange Spirit” Award.
The student who is the 2007 recipient of the “Orange Spirit” Award will exemplify the following qualities and characteristics:
- Academic excellence
- Outstanding community service
- Outstanding service to the University
- A commitment to Chancellor Cantor’s mission statement of connecting the University with the community
- A genuine respect of University traditions, traditional programs, and a commitment to solidify and enhance University traditions
If you know a student who fits this description, we would appreciate your nomination. Please fill out the nomination form below. Also, please consider submitting [under separate cover] a letter of support for your candidate. All nominees should have:
- A minimum 3.0 GPA
- Nomination from a member of the SU community (NO self-nominations)
- Active membership in at least one campus organization
The award will be presented at the annual Homecoming Award’s Ceremony at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 12, at the Panasci Lounge, Schine Student Center
